ORANGEVILLE TOWNSHIP, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — One person is dead and two others are injured after a crash in Barry County.
It happened around 5 p.m. Wednesday on Marsh Road north of Keller Road in Orangeville Township.
Troopers from the Michigan State Police Wayland Post say a 21-year-old Grand Rapids man driving a Honda Accord lost control of his vehicle, crossed the center line and smashed into a GMC pickup truck, driven by a 76-year-old man from Battle Creek.
The driver of the Honda Accord was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the pickup and his passenger, a 77-year-old woman, were taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Investigators believe excessive speed was a factor and alcohol and/or drug impairment has not been ruled out.
