HOLLAND (WHTC-AM/FM) — Four children were hurt in a golf-cart crash just after 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, June 23, 2020, according to Ottawa County Sheriff’s Sgt. Ryan DeVries.
Police were called to the scene in the yard of a home at 11102 112th Ave. in Robinson Township. They learned a 7-year-old West Olive girl had been driving the golf cart, wtih four other children aboard — a 5-year-old West Olive girl; and three Palos Heights, IL, girls, ages 5 6 and 9 years old — when driver lost control and the cart turned over.
Two of the children were pinned underneath the cart until an adult moved it off them. Three of the children went to Helen DeVos Children’s Hospital in Grand Rapids for treatment of non-life threatening injuries, DeVries said.
