HOLLAND (WTHC-AM/FM) — A peaceful silent gathering is scheduled for 7 p.m. today, June 19, 2020, at Centennial Park in Holland.
The goal, according to organizers, is to promote unity with the black community by sending a message that white Americans are listening, and willing to work on healing. While the organizers are Quakers and say silent prayer is welcome, they note the event is open to anyone and is not an evengelical outreach.
Anyone who wants to participate is asked to meet at 10th Street and Central Avenue at 7 p.m. those who wish to help with event set up are asked to meet at the same corner at 6 p.m. for instructions and assignments.
