HOLLAND (WHTC-AM/FM) — At least two peaceful demonstrations are set for Black Lives Matter this weekend.
The first is planned for 10 a.m. Saturday, June 13, 2020, in Hudsonville’s Veterans Park, 3275 Central Ave. This is intended to be a family and child friendly event, organizers noted in the Facebook event post. It’s designed to be family and child-friendly. People are asked to wear masks and practice social distancing.
The second is set for 2 to 3 p.m. Sunday, June 14, 2020, a march in solidarity with the black community is set to start in Douglas’ Beery Field and end at Saugatuck’s Coughlin Park. People will then return to their vehicles parked near Beery Field. Organizers of this event are also asking people to use masks and social distancing.
Both events are way people can speak out against racism and call for an end to police violence.
