HOLLAND (WHTC-AM/FM) — A medical incident caused a 33-year-old Grand Rapids woman to lose control of her 2001 Saturn Friday night and crash into the Beachwood Inn, 380 Douglas Avenue, Ottawa County Sheriff’s Sgt. Nicholas Knott said in an email to media.
She’d been driving west on Doughlas, Knott said, when the Saturn careened into the restaurant’s outside dining deck. No restaurant patrons were hurt.
The Grand Rapids woman went by ambulance to Holland Hospital, where she was treated for non-life-threatening injuries, Knott said.
Holland Township firefighters aided police as the Saturn was removed from the crash scene.
