HOLLAND (WHTC-AM/FM) — Spotty power outages continue to bedevil several hundred West Michigan residents. Consumers Energy’s outage map indicates customers should get the lights back on anywhere from 11 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. today, June 12, 2020.
Technology bedeviled Consumers Energy’s outage map, underestimating restoration times.
“Our sincere apologies to those who experienced multiple communications yesterday – we understand you make important decisions based on the information we provide and we’re determined to deliver the best information possible during this major restoration event, and during future Michigan storms,” company officials said via the outage page online.
The problem may have been caused by the outages themselves, according to the utility’s statement.
