Annette G. Pena, 78, of Fennville, MI passed away Saturday, June 6, 2020 at her home. Born December 25, 1941 in Texas, she was the daughter of the late Solomon and Josephine (Vallejo) Gonzales and was the wife of Luis Pena, Jr. Annette had enjoyed working as a teacher’s aide for Fennville Public Schools for many years and had also worked in the automotive industry. She loved to play bingo and prepare wonderful meals for family and friends. Above all else, Annette delighted in spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband of fifty-nine years, Luis, she is survived by her children, Yolanda (Paul) Alfaro, Tony (Carrie) Pena and Mary (Robert) Ortiz; daughter-in-law, Anita Pena; siblings, Tony (Chris) Gonzales, Frank (Connie) Gonzales, Isabelle (Pablo) Vasquez, Raymond Gonzales and Anita Olivia; sisters-in-law, Irene Gonzales and Dora Gonzales; twelve grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; and her faithful companion, Blue. Along with her parents, Annette was preceded in death by her son, John Pena; and her siblings, Ramona Galvan, Santiago Gonzales and Amelio Gonzales.
The family will receive friends at Chappell Funeral Home on Wednesday, June 10, 2020 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM. A funeral service will follow with Pastor Carlos Lopez officiating. Interment will take place in Pearl Cemetery.
