HOLLAND TWP., MI (WHTC-AM/FM) – A 17-year-old man was shaken but apparently unhurt after he was the victim of what police are calling a “strong-arm robbery” on Holland’s North Side on Saturday afternoon.
According to Ottawa County Sheriff’s Sergeant Matthew Wildfong, deputies were called to the Leisure Estates Mobile Home Park off of Butternut Drive just after 1 PM. Investigators say that the victim had listed some items for sale online and was supposed to meet some prospective buyers at the site, but the buyers apparently grabbed the items and dashed for a dark-colored Toyota Camry. The victim tried to get those items back but failed, and suffered bumps and bruises that didn’t necessitate any medical attention when he fell off of the vehicle as it was being driven away.
No other description of the suspects, who remained at large as night fell on Saturday, was immediately disclosed. Anyone with any information on the incident is asked to contact the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Department or Silent Observer.
