HOLLAND, MI (WHTC-AM/FM) – Family and friends of a 26-year-old Holland man who was reported missing spent some anxious hours on Saturday before the story had an apparently happy ending.
According to Department of Public Safety Captain of Services Robert Buursma, Jake Sleiman hadn’t been seen for the last five days, since an appearance in the area of Lakewood Boulevard and Douglas Avenue on Holland’s North Side. The voluntary missing person report said that Sleiman suffered from post traumatic stress disorder, didn’t have a vehicle, and was likely traveling by foot.
Around 8:45 PM, Buursma reported that the 5-6, slender-build Sleiman “has been located, and he is safe.” No other details about the circumstances that led to his disappearance or as to how he was spotted were immediately disclosed.
