HOLLAND (WHTC-AM/FM) — A 26-year-old West Olive man is dead, and his passenger, a 24-year-old West Olive man, is injured, after a single vehicle crash just after 8 p.m. Friday, June 5, 2020
Ottawa County Sheriff’s deputies were called to the 1300 block of Stanton Street on the report of a rollover crash and found a 2018 Chevy Silverado pickup truck with heavy front-end and drivers’-side damage.
The truck was westbound on Stanton when the vehicle left the road, hitting a tree. It’s unclear what caused the pickup to leave the road, police said, but speed appears to be a factor in the crash. Alcohol is not suspected as a factor in this crash, according to police.
Both people in the truck were wearing seat belts.
This crash remains under investigation.
