HOLLAND (WHTC-AM/FM) — A small group of people is working to do some good despite what they are calling the “May sadness” (#MaySadness) caused by Tulip Time’s cancellation.
Holland-based T-shirt maker Sonscreens’ owners Jeannine and John Ferguson and their employee, Chuck Van Dongen, partnered with the owner of another Holland-based small business owner, the cartoon company GooGenius’ Wade Gugino. They designed and printed a whimsical T-shirt with two curious tulips — one of them just a stem — asking where all the people are.
Proceeds from the T-shirt sales benefit Barnabas Ministries in Zeeland, which serves high-risk youth and families. And Blood:Water, which sends people to Africa to dig wells, teach well maintenance, and fight against AIDS.
Prices for the shirts range from $20 to $27, which includes the $5 shipping fee. Visit https://bit.ly/3gszOdS to view and buy the shirts.
