HOLLAND (WHTC-AM/FM) — Allegan County health officials report a third person has died from COVID-19. No details about that person have been released.
As of Tuesday afternoon, May 19, 2020, they say 185 people have tested positive for the virus, and another 30 people have probable cases, while 25 are hospitalized.
In Ottawa County, where 638 people have had postive test results, more than 50 are hospitalized, a jump since Sunday of nearly 10. Since the first case identified in March, 30 Ottawa County residents have died from the virus and 203 are considered recovered.
About 80 percent of the people who get COVID-19 don’t realize they have it — symptoms can include a temperature, headache, coughing, and shortness of breath.
