HOLLAND (WHTC-AM/FM) — Dennis Lee Bowman has been charged iwth open murder, felony murder, and first-degree child abuse in Allegan County, according to Prosecuting Attorney Myrene Koch, in an email to media.
He’s been charged related to his adopted daughter, Aundria Michell Bowman, 14, who disappeared on March 11, 1989.
Last year, Allegan County Sheriff’s detectives and Michigan State Police, working on a joint investigation with Norfolk, VA, police and the U.S. Navy criminal investigators, related to a 1980 homicide.
Bowman was extradited to Virgina to face charges in the rape and murder of Kathleen O’Brien Doyle.
On Feb. 4, 2020, police began examing a shallow grave with skeletal remains. After extensive DNA and forensic testing, the remains were positively identified as Aundria Michelle Bowman.
