HOLLAND (WHTC-AM/FM) — A 76-year-old Marne man died in an off-road vehicle crash just before 6 p.m. on Saturday, May 2, 2020, according to Ottawa County Sheriff’s Sgt. Nicholas Knott.
Police called to the scene, on the 2700 block of Buchanan in Tallmadge Township, finding the man under a side-by-side ORV. Investigators believe the man was trying to corral a horse that had gotten loose, and was following it in the ORV. But he lost control of the vehicle, which then rolled onto him. He was declared dead at the scene.
Wright/Tallmadge firefighters and Life EMS assisted Sheriff’s deputies.
The man’s name is withheld, pending notification of family. This crash remains under investigation.
