PRESS RELEASE (WHTC-AM/FM) — The 4-H Camp Kidwell has had to to cancel 2020’s summer sessions.
“This decision was exceedingly difficult, but one we felt most appropriate for the safety and well-being of our campers, staff and families,” Camp Kidwell officials said in a statement emailed to media. “Our mission of ‘helping young people have extraordinary camping experiences….’ must continue through the challenges we face.”
The statement went on to indicate 4-H Camp Kidwell will rise above and continue to be here for the community and families. But the camp needs support form community, friends, and camper families.
One way to help is by participating in the spring flower sale. This annual sale has been a fundraising staple the camp for several years.
This season’s two options for helping out include:
- Option 1 – Support a specific camper(s) by donating sales profits to the camper(s) tuition account for a future camp session.
- Option 2 – Support 4-H Camp Kidwell as officials navigate the obstacles posed by the pandemic.
Profits donated to camper can be used for 4-H Camp Kidwell summer or winter camping programs. Profits donated to camp will be used to help offset operating expenses that would ordinarily be supported by the summer camp season.
