HOLLAND, MI (WHTC-AM/FM) – An acceptable diversion during the “Stay Home, Stay Safe” Executive Order by Governor Whitmer remains open along the Lakeshore.
Public buildings and bathrooms at the three facilities operated by the Outdoor Discovery Center are closed, and scheduled programs are cancelled through the end of this month, but as Development Manager Ashley Van Zee explained during a Wednesday interview on “WHTC Talk of the Town,” “Our trails are open, dawn to dusk, free to anyone who wants to visit, with four miles of trails that you can explore.
“The DeWitt Birds of Prey Center is still open, so you can still go and see the hawks and the eagles and the falcons and the owls. The trails at our other two properties – the DeGraaf Nature Center in Holland and the Rapid River Preserve near Hamilton – are also still open.”
