HOLLAND (WHTC-AM/FM) — Two Ottawa County residents suffered non-life-threatening injuries just before 11 a.m. Thursday, April 9, 2020, in Holland Township, according to Ottawa County Sheriff’s Sgt. David VanderPloeg. Police found the crash resulted when a 34-year-old Zeeland woman, driving a2018 Ford Expedition, west on James Street collided with a 2003 Chevy Tahoe, with 56-year-old Holland man at the wheel, that had been southbound on 136th Avenue.
The impact sent the Chevy Tahoe rolling into a utility pole on the southwest corner of the intersection. Police are trying to determin who had the right-of-way at that interction, which has a functional traffic signal. The crash cut power to a handful of nearby businesses.
Both drivers suffered non-life-threatening injuries, poice said. The Chevy Tahoe driver went by AMR Ambulance to an area hospital. The driver of the Ford declined the ambulance.
This traffic crash remains under investigation, and any witnesses to the crash are asked to call the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office.
