OTSEGO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — An Allegan County fire marshal is investigating a fire that broke out at a self-storage facility late last night.
The Otsego Fire Department responded to the Total Storage Solutions Facility at East Allegan Street around 11:15 p.m. on Thursday.
When firefighters arrived they found part of the property fully engulfed in flames, but were eventually able to contain the blaze. The fire department says that one of the two storage buildings at the facility was completely destroyed.
On Friday a fire marshal was asked to investigate the circumstances that led of the fire.
Total Storage Solutions says that those renting a storage unit at the remaining building will still be able to retrieve their items and continue to use the facility. Customers are encouraged to reach out to the business to see if there unit was destroyed.
