HOLLAND TWP., MI (WHTC-AM/FM) – A 23-year-old Holland woman was hospitalized following a two-vehicle crash on Monday morning just east of the Tulip City limits.
Ottawa County Sheriff’s Sergeant Christie Wendt didn’t immediately disclose any names of the motorists involved in the incident, which happened around 8:30 AM at the junction of Chicago Drive and US-31. A vehicle that had exited the highway had stopped for a stop sign at the end of the ramp and apparently didn’t see a westbound vehicle, pulling out in front of it. A collision was unavoidable.
The driver of the westbound vehicle was taken to Holland Community Hospital for treatment of what Wendt said were “minor” injuries, while the other motorist was not hurt and was cited for failing to yield the right of way.
