Park Township voters rejected a 10-year, .185-mil request that would have raised an estimated $209,475 in the first year for airport operations, maintencce and repairs.
Robinson Township voters approved a millage renewal of an 8-year, 1-mil road maintenance millage for road, bridge and drain repairs, expected to raise an estimated $250,853 in the first year.
Dorr Township voters approved a 10-year, .6-mil request, part renewal and part .3049 mil increase, to support the township’s library operations, maintenace and equipment. Township officials expect the plan to raise an estimated $166,000 in the first year.
City Of Allegan voters agreed, 678 to 478, to selling .3 acres of Oakwood Cemetery (in the western section) to the Kalamazoo Diocese, but rejected in a 706-471 vote, the notion of seling .33 acres of Mahan Park to a developer for a hotel.
Van Buren Intermediate School District’s request for a five-year special education millage increase of .9 mils, passed, 511 to 377.
Glenn Public School’s $420,000, 12-year bond request passed, 97-30.
Saugatuck Public Schools $35.6 million, 22-year bond proposal, also passed, 1,652 to 1,084.
