HOLLAND, MI (WHTC-AM/FM) – The history of one of the pillars of the Holland business community will be spotlighted this spring and summer.
A five-month-long exhibit – Heinz in Holland, A Story with Heart – opens to the general public on Friday at the Holland Museum. It looks at the 123-year-old history of the pickle plant that has survived two World Wars and a high-profile merger with Kraft to become a staple of the company, and compiling that story was a labor of love, according to Museum Executive Director Ricki Levine. “Our very small staff that work on the exhibit committee, along with some really terrific volunteers, did research and figured out how to tell the story that we want to tell,” she said during a Tuesday appearance on “WHTC Talk of the Town.” “Unfortunately, we cannot tell them all.”
A preview for Museum Members is set for Thursday night at the Museum off of West 10th Street and River Avenue in Holland. The exhibit will be on display through August 16th.
