JAMESTOWN TWP., MI (WHTC-AM/FM) – Road rage can happen anywhere, as a late Friday night situation in southeast Ottawa County showed.
According to Ottawa County Sheriff’s Sergeant Nicholas Knott, deiuties were dispatched to the area of 24th Avenue and Riley Street in Jamestown shortly before 11 PM on a report that a motorist had been shot at by another motorist in an apparent road rage incident. The victim, who was not wounded, was able to give a description of the suspect’s vehicle, and deputies located and stopped that vehicle “a short time later.” The suspect surrendered without incident, and a firearm was recovered from the vehicle.
Knott added that there was no report of any injuries or property damage caused by the incident, and that the unnamed suspect will spend the weekend in the Ottawa County Jail awaiting arraignment in Hudsonville District Court on multiple charges, as the investigation into the matter continues.
