Gordon “Buzz” Wassink was born October 28, 1932, to Henry and Gertrude Wassink, and passed away on March 2, 2020.
Gord married Marilyn Machiela February 11, 1955. Buzz was a faithful man of God who loved his Savior with all his heart. He was dedicated to his wife, family, and his church. Buzz and Marilyn are members of Georgetown Protestant Reformed Church.
Gord graduated from Holland Christian and served in the U.S. Army 58

Float Bridge Company during the Korean War. Buzz was the first president of Heritage Christian School Board. He was a partner first in Wassink Brothers Builders, and then in Fairway Enterprises blueberry farm.
He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Marilyn, children: Deane(Donna) Wassink, Darle(Colleen) Wassink, Linda Mowery, Douglas(Kathy) Wassink, Karla(Ryan) Feenstra, David Curtis Wassink in glory;
26 grandchildren, 86 great-grandchildren; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren in glory; his siblings: Harold “Bob”(Evelyn) Wassink, Marcia Martin, Lauren(Leona) Wassink, Janice DeJonge; in-laws: Gladys Brummel, Delbert(Winnie) Machiela, Pauline Dyke, Lorraine Wieringa, Chester(Caroline) Machiela, Roger(Helene) Machiela.
A funeral service to honor the faith and life of Gordon Wassink will be held at 11:00 am, Saturday, March 7, at the Georgetown Protestant Reformed Church, 7146 48
