HOLLAND (WHTC-AM/FM) — WOOD TV is reporting that Beverly McCallum, the third suspect in the notorious cold-case murder of Robert Caraballo, has been arrested in Rome
Police have been looking for McCallum, and indicated she was likely in Pakistan.
Robert Caraballo’s tortured body was discovered in a trunk in a blueberry field in northern Ottawa County in 2002, but he was unidentified for years, until a documentary by Hope College students led to a family member alerting police.
McCallum’s daughter, Dineane Ducharme, and a family friend, Christopher McMillan, were charged with Caraballo’s murder, as well as conspiracy and disinterment and mutilation of a body.
McMillan and Ducharme were arrested last year. He entered a guilty plea to second-degree murder and is working with prosecutors.
