HOLLAND (WHTC-AM/FM) — Two men suffered minor injuries in an early morning crash on Monday, Jan. 27, 2020, according to Ottawa County Sheriff’s Sgt. Wildfong.
The crash happened at Chicago Drive and 64th Avenue in Georgetown Township when. Wildfong said, a 26-year-old Allegan man in a 2003 Ford Focus was northbound on 64th Avenue. When he tried stopping at the intersection with Chicago, his vehicle slid on the icy road. the Focus slid past the stop sign, through the median and into Chicago’s westbound lane, hitting a 2004 Jeep.
Both drivers were wearing seatbelts.
The Allegan man was ticketed for driving to fast for conditions; he told police he would would get his own medical care. The second driver, a 59-year-old Wyoming man, went by ambulance to a nearby hospital for evaluation.
