GEORGETOWN TWP., MI (WHTC-AM/FM) – A 68-year-old Grand Rapids woman was hospitalized after a two-vehicle crash west of Jenison on Monday morning.
No names were disclosed, but Ottawa County Sheriff’s Sergeant Eric Westveer said that the woman was attempting to turn left from westbound Baldwin Street to southbound 28th Avenue on a flashing yellow light when her vehicle was hit by an eastbound SUV that was going through the intersection on a green light.
The woman was taken to Spectrum-Zeeland Community Hospital for treatment of what Westveer described as “moderate” injuries, while the other motorist, a 24-year-old Hudsonville woman, was not hurt.
Both drivers were buckled up as the crash remains under investigation.
