HOLLAND (WTHC-AM/FM) — If you’ve missed out on Christmas fun this year, today, Saturday, Dec. 7, 2019, holds two opportunities.
Saugatuck’s annual Santa’s workshop is set from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at The Annex, 220 Water St.
The Christmas parade steps off on Water Street at 1 p.m. today; entries must be lined up at Wicks Park by 12:30 p.m.
At 5 p.m. head over to Wicks Park Gazebo on Water Street for the annual tree-lighting ceremony, which includes free hot chocolate and cookies, caroling, and a countdown for the simultaneous lighting of the tree and the star on Mt. Baldhead.
At 7 p.m. on Holland’s Watshington Square, there’s another tree-lighting event. Expect sing-a-longs, hot chocolate, coffee, and cookies — and, weather permitting, a Christmas parde for dogs in costume, with a prize for the best entry.
A scavenger hunt using the Polar Express-themed window displays is also planned.
