HOLLAND (WHTC-AM/FM) — Organizers are calling the first annual Tastes of Holland a “huge success,” having sold 346 tickets — when they anticipated selling about 250.
Nearly 30 restaurants, microbreweries and wineries showcased food and drink Wednesday night.
Diane and Steve Wolgemuth of Park Township were among the 20 winners of free tickets. Dian Wolgemuth said she could remember how she entered, but she and her husband were delighted to win.
The couple said they’re big fans of Holland-area restaurants, but found a few they’ve not yet visited.
“Tripelroot of Zeeland, we have to try that out. They had a good beer. Waverly Stone, that’s one of our favorites,” Steve Wolgemuth said, joking that the list was longer than his memory.
A portion of the proceeds will be donated to Community Action House and Harvest Stand Ministries.
