HOLLAND (WHTC-AM/FM) — Holland’s deadline to finish fall leaf pick up is Nov. 17, 2019.
City manager Keith Van Beek says this year, there are no second chances. The same crews that plow snow and salt the roads will do the pick-up work, he said.
He said it takes a full three weeks to clear the city, so if your street it not among the first to get attention, you get some bonus time.
“I suppose, if you had a pile out there, and you add to the pile after that, you’re luckier,” he said. “But if we go by and pick up the leaves, we’re not going to be back until next spring.
Zeeland’s leaf pickup is underway and will continue through the end of November.
Leaf pick up means residents should put just leaves — not branches or other yard waste, — the curb.
Yard waste pickup happens in the spring.
