HOLLAND (WHTC-AM/FM) — Coopersville resident Emily Marie Chatman died early Thursday morning, Nov. 7, 2019, after allegedly being shot on Oct. 21, 2019, by her estranged husband, according to Ottawa County Sheriff’s Capt. Mark Bennett.
Ottawa County Medical Examiners officials have ruled her cause of death to be a gunshot to the head.
Polkton Township resident Jaron Paul Chatman, 25, originally arrested and arraigned on charges of reckless discharge of a firearm Thursday, is free on a $35,000 bond.
Bennett said in an email to media Thursday afternoon county prosecutors are reviewing the case for other charges related to Chatman’s murder.
