HOLLAND (WHTC-AM/FM) — The Holland Area Visitors Bureau is calling for Civil War Muster photos, as part of what’s hoped to be an annual contest.
The winning entry will be used to promote upcoming Van Raalte Farm Civil War Musters in the Holland Area Visitors Guides, on billboards, rack cards and social media.
“The Van Raalte Farm Civil War Muster has grown in popularity in its 11 year history,” said Sally Laukitis, Holland Area Visitors Bureau’s executive director. “We are proud toshowcase Van Raalte Farm, home of Holland Union soldier, Benjamin Van Raalte, and the important role the Civil War played in our country.”
The Visitors Bureau is seeking amateur and professional photographers to enter the contest with their best Civil War Muster photography. “We want to celebrate the photographers who come to photograph the Muster. We know the perfect photo will be out there, and we are excited to find it,” Laukitis said.
The winning photographer will receive a $150 cash prize, as well as photo credit, when the photo is used editorially. The top five photos will receive $50, each.
All submissions must be high-resolution images taken at the 2019 Van Raalte Farm Civil War Muster in Holland, MI.
