HOLLAND (WHTC-AM/FM) — Ottawa County Sheriff’s detectives have found more evidence, after the hit-and-run crash death of Zeeland resident Melissa Yates, 41. She was pushed to the ground during a fight between two groups at the One Stop, 690 136th Ave., in Holland Township, then run over by a white Dodge Charger.
She died at Spectrum Health Butterworth later Tuesday, Sept. 10, 2019.
Ottawa County Sheriff’s Capt. Mark Bennett said police have recovered a Charger that they believe was used in the hit-and-run. They discovered the car, and related evidence, he said, while using a search warrant at a Holland Township residence on West Lakewood Boulevard.
But police are still looking for the driver using the car when Yates was struck.
