HOLLAND (WHTc-AM/FM) — South Haven Area Emergency Services (SHAES) will host a pancake breakfast at Station 3, 90 Blue Star Highway, from 7:30 – 11:30 Sunday morning.
SHAES officials are in the final stages of raising funds to purchase heavy duty washers and dryers to clean firefighter gear.
Cancer is a leading cause of death among firefighters. The clothing worn during firefighting accumulates carcinogens, according to South Haven fire officials.
The washers and dryers will be placed at each of the three SHAES fire stations.
Pancake breakfast prices are $8 for adults, $4 for kids 4 to 14 — Children under 4 are free
