HOLLAND (WHTC-AM/FM) — Holland resident Robert Trees, 86, died in a traffic crash Tuesday afternoon, Aug. 27, 2019, according to Holland Department of Public Safety spokesman Capt. Keith Mulder.
The initial police investigation indicates Mr. Trees was driving a Saturn Aura south on Central Avenue, going through the intersection after the traffic light turned green, when Chevy pickup northbound on US-31 hit the Saturn. A 20-year-old Goetzville, Michigan man had been driving the pick-up, Mulder said.
Mr. Trees, rushed to Holland Hospital, was pronounced dead there.
