HOLLAND (WHTC-AM/FM) — Ottawa County Sheriff’s deputies are investigating two overnight unarmed robberies.
One happened just before midnight Thursday, Aug. 22, 2019, at the Raman Party Store, 394 Chicago Drive, in Holland Township.
A man entered the store wearing dark clothing, a mask over his face and gloves on his hands, demanding cash from the register, witnesses told police. He fled the store in an unknown direction and is described as 5-foot-5 to 6 feet tall, with a medium build; his race was unclear.
Sheriff’s deputies and Holland police attempted to track the man, using Holland’s K9 unit. As this was happening, police were called to a second, similar robbery at the Shell Gas station, 160 North River Ave., also in Holland Township. The suspect’s description in this case matched the earlier robber’s.
Police were unable to locate the man, according to Ottawa County Sheriff’s Sgt. J. Douglas. Anyone with any information is asked to contact police directly, or contact Silent Observer, 877-88-SILENT or visit mosotips.com.
