HOLLAND, MI (WHTC-AM/FM) – Some discussion among public entities in the City of Holland are taking place this week.
On Tuesday evening, the Planning Commission went over with city staffers a draft of a required annual report to City Council that is part of Holland being certified as a Redevelopment Ready Community with the Michigan Economic Development Corporation. This report takes a look at the city’s Master Plan, seeing if certain Action Steps towards this certification are taking place and the progress that has been made. This is the second year that the city has been working towards this certification.
The Holland City Council will join with the board of the Holland Board of Public Works on Wednesday evening for a first special joint session since February 28th. This 5:30 PM meeting in the second floor Training Center of City Hall will go over a shared gigabit broadband service provided by the public utility; discuss mitigating sludge disposal issues, and talk about PILOT (Payment In Lieu Of Taxes).
Later this week, the city’s Human Relations Commission meets on Thursday evening at City Hall, ahead of Saturday’s first International Festival of Holland; the Board of the Holland Center Place’s monthly meeting for Friday morning has been cancelled.
