​Grada Jongekrijg

Grada Jongekrijg, age 96, of Hudsonville, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, August 13, 2019. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dennis Jongekrijg; son-in-law, Alan Walters; great-granddaughter, Jocelyn Schierbeek; siblings, Lillian Smit, Henry J. Smit, Jane Altena, Bernie Smit. She is survived by her children, Thea and Lloyd Scholten, Carol and Dale Van Rhee, Mark and Norma Jongekrijg, Bette and Elwyn Schierbeek, Maris and Robert Callejas, Jan and Loren Arendsen, Bruce and Sheryl Jongekrijg, Deb and Calvin Schierbeek, Dave and Sandy Jongekrijg; 25 grandchildren, 42 great-grandchildren with more expected; sister, Agnes and Harv Brower; sister-in-law, Melinda Smit; many nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral services for Grada will be held on Saturday, August 17, at 11:00 A.M. at Beaverdam Christian Reformed Church with Rev. Tyler Wagenmaker officiating. Interment Beaverdam Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet with the family at VanderLaan Funeral Home on Friday, August 16, from 5 to 8 P.M. and on Saturday from 10 to 10:45 A.M. at church. Memorial contributions may be made to The Vern & Lois Boersma Cottage of Resthaven or Beaverdam CRC Education Foundation. The family wishes to thank the staff of Resthaven for the loving care they provided Mom.
