PARK TWP., MI (WHTC-AM/FM) – Two Holland men were hospitalized following a three-vehicle pileup on the way to the beach on Holland’s North Side on Saturday night.
According to Ottawa County Sheriff’s Sergeant Christopher Dill, a 51-year-old man was driving a pickup truck westbound on Ottawa Beach Road just after 9 PM when he attempted to turn left onto Oakwood Avenue, east of Waukazoo Drive. However, he drove directly into the path of an eastbound sedan, driven by a 21-year-old man. After striking the sedan head-on, the truck then veered into another eastbound sedan, driven by a 16-year-old Holland girl.
The two men were taken to Holland Hospital in stable condition for treatment of back injuries; the teen was not hurt. The crash remains under investigation.
