After working for mor than an hour, firefighters were able to free the driver, who went by ambulance to Hackley Hospital in stable condition.
Neither alcohol nor phone were factors in this crash.
At the time of the crash a thunderstorm was moving through the area with strong winds that knocked over numerous trees.
