HOLLAND (WHTC-AM/FM) — Grand Rapids resident Joshua Louis Rupp, 35, has been formally arraigned on a series of charges, after a series of incidents Wednesday, July 31, 2019, in which he allegedly commited several offenses while nude.
In these incidents a nude male entered two homes, assaulted four residents who were inside their homes, fleeig in a vehicle, and then, police say, he intentionally crashed into another vehicle and fled on foot, still nude. He was taken into custody without incident, treated at an area hospital for minor injuries, and taken to Ottawa County Jail.
On Thursday, Rupp was arraigned before Grand Haven District Court Judge Craig Bunce on the following felony charges: two counts of first-degree home invasion; one count of felonious assault; and one count of resisting and opposing a police officer.
He remains in Ottawa County Jail on a $250,000 cash bond.
None of the four area residents he assaulted were seriously injured, police said, and no one else is believed to have been involved. These cases remain under investigation by the Ottawa County Sheriff’s detectives.
