HOLLAND (WHTC-AM/FM) — Holland resident David Justice, 42, the man on a motorcycle who crashed on Lakeshore Drive in Park Township on Wednesday, July 24, 2019, has died, according to Ottawa County Sheriff’s Sgt. Michael Vandenbosch.
Police were notified of his death by the Kent County Medical Examiner’s officials, Vandenbosch said in an email to media Friday afternoon.
Police are investigating the crash, hoping to interview the driver of a black SUV seen in the area at the time of the crash. It’s unclear, according to police, whether the motorcycle and the SUV collided.
Justice was traveling at a high rate of speed, according to police, when he lost control and the motorcycle went off the road, striking a rock and the ground before sliding back onto Lakeshore Drive’s northbound lanes.
The medical examiner’s report indicate neither alcohol nor drugs were factors in this crash, Vandenbosch said.
