Chomma Vongmathep, 92, of Zeeland, passed away on Friday, July 12, 2019.
Chomma was born in Laos on November 12, 1926, in Savankt.
She married Phouvieng Chansyna who preceded her in death in 1987. She immigrated to the United States in 1990 and lived with her son, Boivan and his family in California. In 2005, she moved to West Michigan to live with her daughter Souk and her family. Chomma was an avid gardener and was strong and active she was debilitated by a stroke on July 4, 2019.
She is survived by her son Boivan Chansyna of Arkansas, her daughter Souksakhone “Sook” Vongphachanh; grandchildren: Thomas Chansyna, Bond Chansyna, TinTin Vongphachanh, Thomas Vongphachanh, Louise Vongphachanh, and extended family and friends.
A funeral service will be held 1:00 pm, Sunday, July 14, 2019, at Yntema Funeral Home, 251 S. State Street, Zeeland.
