HOLLAND (WHTC-AM/FM) — Park Township resident Joshua Dean Foster, 26, has been arrested and charged in connection with a Sunday incident involving a gun and a church, according to Capt. Keith Mulder.
Police were called at about 10 a.m. with the report of a suspicious incident at a church, which Mulder did not identify. The dispatcher was told by the church’s security official that a man made a comment about having a shotgun in his vehicle, and was headed to another church, Shekinah Revival Ministries, 1941 Washington Ave., in Holland.
Police found the Foster’s vehicle in the parking lot, and learned from police dispatchers he’d been seen in the church, Mulder said. There were several hundred people inside the church, Mulder said.
Police arrested Foster on an interior balcony. Detectives found a shotgun and ammunition in the suspect’s vehicle in the church parking lot.
Foster was arraigned Monday in 58th District Court on charges of carrying a concealed weapon in a vehicle, third-degree habitual offender; no insurance; driving with a suspended license; and unlawful use of a license plate. He posted bond and is free.
