HOLLAND (WHTC-AM/FM) — Ottawa County Sheriff’s investigators are on scene of an armed robbery at a party store on 136th Avenue in Holland Township, according to Sheriff’s Capt. Mark Bennett.
No one has been hurt; the suspect fled on foot. Police are searching for the suspect, Bennett said.
Just before 12:30 p.m. Wednesday, June 26, 2019, the suspect entered the One-Stop, 690 136th Ave. in Holland Township and demanded cash. He had a handgun and threatened the 33-year-old female clerk, Bennett said, but no shots were fired and no injuries reported. The suspect did take an undisclosed amount of cash, leaving the store in an unknown direction. He’s described as a black male appropriately 6 feet tall, with an average build, last seen wearing dark clothing. No vehicle was seen at the time of the robbery.
