OTTAWA COUNTY (WHTC-AM/FM) — Ottawa County Sheriff’s detectives continue investigating the double shooting in Robinson Township that happened early Tuesday, May 21, 2019, on the 14000 block of 108th Avenue.
Sheriff’s Capt. Mark Bennett says a 43-year-old Ravenna man was visiting the home of a 57-year-old Robinson Township man.
Witnesses told police, the men were friends, but at some point late Monday evening, they had a disagreement, and the shooting followed.
The two witnesses were in the kitchen of the home where the shooting is believed to have happened — they were unhurt and are talking to detectives.
A single gun recoverd at the scene may be the only one used in the shootings, Bennett said, and it’s possible one of the men fired the gun in a way that caused both men to suffer bullet wounds..
The two men remain hospitalized, with what Bennett called life-threatening injuries.
The incident remains under investigation by OCSO Detectives. Anyone with information is asked to call Silent Observer at 1-877-88-SILENT or www.mosotips.com. Silent Observer offers cash rewards for tips leading to arrests and convictions.
