HOLLAND (WHTC-AM/FM) — The City of Holland deputy clerk Kathy Grimm has been promoted to City Clerk, effective this week.
She replaces Kathy Mitchell, who resigned in February.
Grimm worked in the Ottawa County Clerk’s Office for four years before taking the city job in 2008. She was promoted to Deputy Clerk in January, and is a certified Michigan municipal clerk.
Grimm’s duties will include supervising city elections, coordinating licensing activities, maintaining permanent city records, and will be responsible for directing day-to-day operations of the clerk’s office.
As part of the city’s leadership teams, she’ll serve on a variety of boards, commissions, and authorities, acting as licensing authority for area businesses.
“Kathy has been a key member in the Clerk’s office, and recently stepped up to lead a strong team ofCity employees who kept the Clerk’s office running smoothly in a time of transition. Her knowledge and professionalism make her an excellent fit for this role.
