HOLLAND (WHTC-AM/FM) — A two-car crash on Thursday afternoon in Jamestown Township sent three people to area hospitals, according to Ottawa County Sheriff’s Sgt. Christie Wendt
Sheriff’s deputies arriving at the intersection of Eighth Avenue and M6 just before 3 p.m. found one vehicle was on the exit ramp from eastbound M6 to Eighth Avenue and stopped at the stop sign.
The 21-year-old Hudsonville driver turned north onto Eighth, in front of a southbound vehicle with a 53-year-old Holland woman at the wheel — and she was unable to stop. He was not wearing a seatbelt and had to be extricated from his vehicle, going by ambulance to Metro Hospital with serious injuries, according to police.
Two passengers in the Holland driver’s car, one of whom was not wearing a seatbelt, suffered minor injures and were taken to Holland Hospital.
