HOLALND (WTHC-AM/FM) — One of the many traffic crashes during the Monday’s slushy morning commute included a multi-vehicle injury crash affecting several lanes of Unity Bridge, which crossed the Macatawa River in Holland, linking the city to Holland Township.
It happened just before 7:30 a.m. Monday, April 15, 2019.
WHTC’s What’s New Around Holland reporter Patty Vandenberg found herself in the thick of it, for about 40 minutes.
She counted at least 10 vehicles on the northbound side of the bridge that appeared to be involved and three or four vehicles on the sourhbound side.
“You can see the tracks where they spun out and hopped over, across the median,” she said.
MLive is reporting multi-vehicle pile up on I-196 in Grandville injured at least two people and closed an off-ramp during the Monday morning commute. It appeared to start as a four-vehicle crash, becoming a pile-up involving as many as 30 vehicles.
