HOLLAND (WHTC-AM/FM) — West Coast Chamber is set to host a luncheon celebrating diversity , from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday, April 17, 2019, at the Midtown Center, 96 W 15th St. in Holland.
Formerly known as the annual Minority Business Awards, the chamber will continue to award honors — for an Individual Champion of Diversity, as well as a Corporate Champion of Diversity. Award winners are selected from nominations submitted by Chamber member businesses.The guest speaker is Malisa Bryant, who joined Herman Miller in 2013 and is the Vice President of North America and Global Sales. Bryant was the 2018 Minority Business Champion, and she is passionate about the value created by minority businesses. She is committed to enriching experiences for all.
Bryant works with minorities and students from lower socioeconomic standings to provideawareness as well as examples of what is possible. She also offers financial support toimprove access to education and works especially with students who are highlyinterested in entrepreneurship. Through her knowledge and experience, Bryant will offerpowerful insight on the importance of strengthening communities.
