HOLLAND (WHTC-AM/FM) — Holland Department of Public Safety officials released a few details on the shooting that happened Friday in the 700 block of Columbia Avenue in Holland.
Holland police officers were called to the scene just before 4:30 Friday afternoon and the investigation found that a 28 year old man who lives at the home appeared to ahve accidentally shot himself in the hand with a handgun. The bullet that struck his hand then hit his 56-year-old mom in the chest. She had been sitting in a chair in the same room.
Both were treated at the scene and went by ambulance to Holland Hospital. Their current medical status is unknown.
